“ I Go here lots. It's very good :) Update: in the recent months they have really gone soft on the spices... I guess they did this to meet Canadian taste better. I personally liked it better when it was spicy and more authentic. I use to only need a couple drops of the sauce to Make my rice spicy. Now I pour the entire sauce in and is not the same at all. ”
“ Amazing food varieties and tastes. Bangladeshi pitha (type of rice cake) is delicious. And the beef patties, simply awesome!!! ”
“ I have been to Curry King couple times, and it was amazing. Everything taste like homemade Bangladeshi food, and it is quite affordable. You’ll have full satisfaction when it comes to food , and don’t forget a cup of tea to complete the meal Keep in mind that it is fast food style place, so if you are looking something fancying, it is not for you. Interestingly, I like that because I live in Brandon, and when I go to Winnipeg, I swing by here for a quick meal. I’m giving it 5 as they offer great food and services in a affordable price. Hope you enjoy it! ”
“ I came to eat here from Vancouver and this was my favourite bengali restaurant in Winnipeg. The customer service was great and I got my food quickly. They have the best kachi in town. Highly recommended. ”
“ I had a great experience at this restaurant with my wife and friends. I don't understand what some of the other reviews are about, we had the freshest and some of the most delicious Bengali food ever in Winnipeg in my 5 years here. We ordered the menu that was on special, Kachki and Alu Bhorta with Rice and Daal for 6 and also had Morog Polau for 9 and a couple cups of tea, 1 each. I had a very very pleasant experience there and I'm likely to come again, reasonable price and great tasting food. I wish I took photos but I got busy devouring the dishes and some more. Taste was good, service was great too. One of the guys came over twice and asked us whether we needed anything else. They took away our empty plates and kept our table clean, before, during and after the meal. We went at opening time, right around noon 12pm and had our meal around 1. All in all, highly recommend for Bangladeshis. ”
“ 2:17 am, they are open for take out till 3 am. I picked up a combo number 2 from their menu, which is a beef curry with rice and Dal puri. Food tasted good. Though the beef could have been a little more tender. Otherwise it was good. ”
“ Chef here is really great. If you are looking for a home cooked bengali comfort food, definitely should visit. ”
“ I'm giving 5 cos both times my experience was good. The older staff was friendly and nice. Once we went on the morning and got parathas and they were so good. Last night we got chicken buriyanis and they were not only tasty but the chicken portion was so generous.Since it's more like a take out place I think it's best to take the food home and eat cos I don't think they have a lot of staff. ”
